Since I graduated from college I was fascinated by the money making opportunities in internet and had tried a lot of them and burnt my finger a lot many times in the process. One of the ways which gave me a decent income that I can boast of is selling on ebay. I made about $10,000 by selling stuffs on ebay and almost 99% of it came by dropshipping and the remaining 1% came by selling ebooks.

If I can make money living here in India by selling stuffs to people mainly from US and European countries then anybody can do it. A search for the term “dropship” would list myriad of dropshippers claiming to provide you goods at an incredibly low wholesale price and all they require is a annual membership fees for accessing their service. Believe me or not 99.9% of them are scams or resellers posing as wholesale sellers. Beware of their claims and always do a thorough check before you order.

Then how to weed them out and find the real dropshippers. That needs a bit of work on your side but remember a real dropshipper will never ask for membership fees and no minimum order requirement but due to their nature of their business they will not be able guarantee a product will be available when you are ready for ordering that is after you have completed a sale.

The two dropshippers I am listing below can reduce your work a lot.

1. AlphaImports: wholesalers and dropshippers of precious and semi-precious stones.
2. A2Zcds: dropshippers of classic CDs and DVDs.

I found their service a lot trustable. But as with any dropshippers do not rush to use their service, please test them by ordering sample purchases and make a test return to test their return policy. I did all these things before I started selling on ebay.

Okay, now you have found two real dropshippers and you have tested their trustablity but before putting their products on sale always make sure that they have the products you are wishing to sell in sufficient numbers such that the products will be available when you have made a sale.

I found two products that are hot selling on ebay, one is Tanzanite gemstone and other is coloured gem stones and diamonds. Some of the drawbacks that I faced being a halfway round the globe from my market were that I could not purchase the products to maintain a inventory to avoid paying the shipping charges twice, as being a small seller I had to avoid paying custom duties as I am just going to resell it to a buyer in US, and finally as a result of this I was not able to put up the real picture of the products and not knowing its defects.

My advice is, if you are a resident of US, you purchase the products and maintain a small inventory so that you can use real pictures of the products, remembers ebay buyers like to see the real pictures even if the product is of low quality. By opting to dropship blindly you will have to face annoyed buyers complaining that the products was not as shown in the picture.

Be wise and start making money selling on ebay by dropshipping.
